This recipe used to be up at Elisheva Blogs, along with two others. This blog disappeared a few months ago but fortunately I had kept the recipes. It is always a favorite and can be made within seconds. I usually defrost the salmon overnight, prepare the marinade after breakfast and eat it for lunch.
Asian Marinade for Salmon
2 lbs. salmon
Marinade:
3 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. ketchup
3 tbsp. honey (or brown sugar)
1 tbsp. crushed ginger
Juice of 1 lime
Combine all ingredients and add salmon. Marinade several hours then remove. Cook under broiler for 5 minutes or fry on stove in small amount of peanut oil.
I much prefer the first option.

Delicious. I’m also a big fan of salmon.

We all love salmon in this house, and this recipe looks so good! The only problem is that it is impossible to find limes in Israel, so I’ll substitute lemon.

Raizy and RR: I love salmon too, hence the numerous recipes with salmon.
Don’t worry about using lemon; I do too when I have forgotten to buy limes.

Mmmm!!!! I make salmon all the time, but usually just plain with some Mrs. Dash or garlic powder, salt, pepper. Nothing fancy. Sometimes I make a sauce consisting of pureed cucumber, mayonnaise and dill weed. I will try this out.

I think it would still taste good if the marinade was used as a sauce at the last minute of cooking, instead of a marinade…I will have to try it.
