Even the Verona Arena – a Roman amphitheatre which is internationally famous for the large-scale opera performances given there – has red details.
On Tuesdays, just post any photo you like (it must be one of your own) that contains the color RED and then link to this blog.

It’s looks to be in great shape. It’s bigger than I thought! At least it looks huge in this photo.
It is huge! 20,000 seats if I remember correctly.
You asked where the sunken boat on my blog is: it’s in a front yard near Lake Simcoe.
I just looked at the answer to your flower question. PLUMBAGO! I better go check out the plumbago in my garden. LOL
I love the arena, but the second picture is fantastic. I once had a pen pal in Verona. I was studying Italian, but her English was so good, we both wrote in English and then she moved to Washington state…
Thank you Dr Savta.
absolutely beautiful, interesting post..
Beautiful Arena.
I have only been there by night; unforgattable Nabocco.

Wow, that amphitheatre looks awesome, nice pics.
Thank you James. It is as impressive as it looks.
I have been watching a show about the Roman Colosseum. Remember visiting one in Italy in the 1980′s. Looks like this one will be used for today’s entertainments.
I love the Opera.
Very impressive arena!
Those red seats pop.
What is amazing is that the modern stadiums are designed so much like this Roman example of two millennia ago. I wonder if they had more bathrooms for the crowds then than we see today??
You are so right, Ralph…re the stadium design.
What lovely photos, Ilana! I like the splash of red within the ampitheater.
The photo with the statue/bust would look great in sepia, for Sepia Scenes.
I hadn’t thought about it but I agree: the second photo would look great in sepia.
Very nice Amphitheater ! Great shot!
Beautiful shots. I love seeing all the things that one day I AM going to see.
Oh, oh, oh! I have to go there! Thanks for the exquisite Italian red!
These are good shots. I think the bust is wonderful, and there’s even a little red in it. It looks like she might be reading the plaque…
How intriguing to find RUBY seats in this arena ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
This is so grand! We have some in Bulgaria – ours look like a toy house comparing with this beauty!
Those red ones for VIPs?
Oh, I miss Italy. Must go there sometime soon.
Thanks for visiting Tamar.
Splendid! My brother called and said he and his wife were on their way to Venice and Florence for a 25th anniversary trip. I am I jealous…
I love how you got that bit of gorgeous blue sky in the top shot.
Thank you Leora. I also find the bust very touching, even though I can’t identify who this is (maybe Alexander the Great).
According to this blogger, it’s Tosca (a character from an opera by Puccini) -

You lucked out for a Ruby Tuesday photo when you found these red seats in this massive amphitheater.
I agree with Jew wishes that the sculpture would be a perfect photo to use for Sepia Scenes.
Thanks for visiting me and my humble blog.
Well-done Leor! How did you find this? I had tried earlier but failed miserably.
I’m a research nerd.
Nice way for VIPs to find their seats…great pic
I absolutely love the isolation of the red.
And your blue ain’t bad either!
Oh boy ! Verona !!! I would so like to visit Italy and those wonderful historical cities ! That looks like very festive place !
How I would love to see that form myself, all of Italy as a matter of fact, thanks for sharing your visit it is like looking at postcards. Happy RT.
