After years of reading about Rochelle Krich‘s character Molly Blume playing mahjong with her sisters, I was glad I could learn how to play when I visited my family in Hong Kong last month. Mahjong is a popular game there and there are stores which specialize in mahjong sets. You choose the color of the tiles and their size and the shop assistant assembles a set for you.

After reading Amy Tan’s books I’ve wondered what the game must be like to play. It sounds complicated to me.
Wow. The tiles are neat…I would choose the dots on the top right shelf. Love the colors.
Oh I love games and mahjong sounds like it would be fun!
I know how hard majhong is…A friend of mine brought me one time in that kind of place and am totally shock. Happy SOOC Sunday.
I like all the different colors and that you get to customize your own game.
Love this shot. It’s great that so much customization is available.
I love this game. I play on the computer all the time…ususlly at 3AM when I can’t sleep.
That’s really cool that one can buy a customized set.
Chag kasher v’samei’ach to you and yours!
I wasn’t very original and got the classic green tiles since I didn’t own a set at all. It was in a different and more traditional shop but I didn’t dare take my camera out.
Chag Sameach!
I love Mahjong and I would love to have my own game other than playing on the computer.
I recognise that shop! I was there in March last year. Is it on Nathan Road? Great shot.
That’s the one! Funny to see you’ve been there too.
I like very much Mahjong games. I would like to download it . Where can I get it free?
