I see it says Fabrique de Vinegar. Hard to imagine a whole factory just for vinegar. I think of a modern, glassy Heinz factory with lots of machinery.
Where was this photo taken?
It was taken in Amiens.

I thought a bit like Leora, until I remembered that I used to live in a building that was converted from a match factory – here’s a link!

What a very nostalgic photo! I love the spot of bright red, and also the red of the brick.
Thank you Lorri.

LOL! No matter the source…it is still lovely.
Vinegar is a fine commodity, and this place must have been quite busy in its day. A classic shape where it is a shame the ruby brick covers a building and business that exists no more. But a great capture!
Old structure but holds a lot of memory.
I like the facade of this building. It does not look like a vinegar factory. Thanks for sharing!

How bizarre you asked me about Eshkol Nevo. I am in the middle of reading a novel of his entitled Homesick. I had not read his work before, and saw the English version in the book store a few weeks back.
Have you read him?
I read a review of his latest novel which made me want to read the book.
I am enjoying Homesick, so far.
Great shot of a great old building.
A lovely old building that seems to be begging to live another fresh life while retaining olde worlde charm!
What a great old building, so full of character. I hope they turn it into something wonderful that really shows off its unique character.

I hope it doesn’t fall into disrepair but instead someone finds a new use for it.
this looks like the sort of building in melbourne that would be converted to apartments … and i would love to live there myself.

I also hope the building is renovated and turned into something useful. A vingear museum peut-etre?
