Deauville in Cloudy June

Deauville is one of the most prestigious seaside resorts in France. Started on deserted sand dunes in the 1860s, the town developed as an an internationally famous resort in the 1920s. The photos above feature the beach and the Pompean baths.

  2. I can imagine now colorful it would be on a sunny day with all those umbrellas unfurled and crowded with bathers enjoying the beach.

  5. I was in Deauville many years ago but it was off season so no lazing on the beach that day either. Those baths looks beautiful, such an elegant fountain.
