Ah, those tomatoes are a beautiful ruby indeed. The fresh fruit (including the lemons) sit awaiting a chef’s touch. But with this lovely fruit, the ingredients are the star, the cook has little to do for us to enjoy a delicious treat…Bueno appetite!

The tomatoes really do *pop*! Great reds. I love how the lemons are displayed. Can’t imagine such a fancy display here.
This particular one stood out. Hence my taking a photo but a lot of shops displayed vegetables and fruit.

I love this photo. Reminds me of my two visits to Lucca! What wonderful shops I found there – and superb restaurants. I horded the olive oil I bought.
